WITH BEAUTIFUL
MEMORIES
OF AWARD-WINNING
AUTHOR
HARRIET MAY SAVITZ
Mrs. Savitz made me
the publisher I am
today. She believed
in me from the day
we met over ten
years ago, trusted
me with her adult
non-fiction, and
continued to
encourage and share
her limitless words
of wisdom.
Without her watching
over me, Little
Treasure would not
be the company it is
today and I would
not be the person I
grew into.
Harriet’s strength
gave me strength,
and I make this
promise to her that
Little Treasure will
continue to publish
books of talented
authors
whose
voices are
overlooked by many
of the large
publishing
companies.
This passionate
writer began writing
at the age of 9 and
never put her pencil
down until she
passed on at 75.
Mrs. Savitz was not
just a business
colleague; she was
and remains my dear
friend and mentor.
Memories of talks on
her front porch,
walks on the
boardwalk, book
signings, making
angels in the sand,
and numerous
telephone
conversations will
remain a large part
of me. I loved her
dearly and always
will, as her spirit
lives on in my heart
and soul. What a
privilege for me!
What a gift for
Little Treasure
Books!
To quote one of the
many favorite words
she wrote, “Life is
just one big
baseball game. You
never can tell what
the outcome is going
to be until the very
last inning.
Perhaps tomorrow
will be the day I
hit my own home
run.” Harriet May
Savitz continuously
hit home runs.
On many occasions,
Harriet told me that
the greatest gift
she had been given
was that of her two
children and all of
her grandchildren
who she refers to in
many of her
writings. While it
is difficult for all
of us at Little
Treasure Books to
“celebrate” the
passing of Mrs.
Savitz as the loss
of her runs deep, I
like many others
whose lives she
changed will live
on, gifted with her
words, her laughter,
and her love.
